No one has changed the world like Jesus! He has had a far-reaching and long-lasting impact beyond anyone else in history. So how did a Jewish carpenter, from Nazareth in the Middle East, who died at the age of 33, have this incredible impact?
What we know about Jesus comes from the stories of his life which were written by his close friends and followers, and recorded in the Bible. The Bible is clear that Jesus is much more than a wise teacher, a holy prophet, a miraculous healer or a revolutionary thinker. Jesus claimed that he is God himself (John 10:30). So, the carpenter from Nazareth was also the creator from heaven.
Two thousand years ago, the God who brought everything into existence, took on flesh and became a human being. God did this to reveal what he is like, rescue us from sin and raise us to new life. Jesus came to show us how much God loves us, and to bring us into relationship with him.
