Join here. If prompted, Meeting ID: 870 1575 6167 / Passcode: 935256

We strive to create safe environments for children to come to know and experience the love of Jesus. Each online session will have two adult leaders and we encourage in-room parental supervision, particularly for younger children. If you would like the option of leaving your child(ren) unsupervised in our online sessions, you must complete a permission form, if you haven’t previously done so.
Join our livestream service at 10am or 5pm.
We will be sharing Communion in the service today, so have some bread and wine/juice ready if you would like to join in.
If you would like to keep young hands busy while listening to the talk, choose activity sheets from this booklet to connect with this week’s bible passage, Ephesians 2:19-22.
We start a new talk series in our services this week, titled The Church Is …
ASK your children what they think of when ‘the church’ is referred to. Do you think of a building? An organisation? Do you think our church building is the equivalent of the temple in the Old Testament?
- How does it make you feel to know that when you accept Jesus, the Holy Spirit comes to live in you and you become the church, you are God’s temple, you are God’s home?
- Does it bring you comfort, particularly during lockdown, to know that God lives within you – you don’t have to gather in a building to experience him?
- How might you be ‘the church’ this week and share the love of Jesus with others? (You might like to draw inspiration from this list.)
Thank God that his church is his people and that you have a part to play. Thank him that no matter where and how we gather, we are his church. Thank Jesus for being the cornerstone and foundation of all we believe. Ask that, by his Spirit, he continue to work in you and through you, so that others may come to know his love.
Have a great week,
Kylie – Children & Families’ Minister
St John’s is committed to Child Safety and welcomes your feedback on how we can keep improving.
