St John’s Youth and Kids update – King’s Birthday Long Weekend

St John’s Youth and Kids update – King’s Birthday Long Weekend

Hello Parents!

The newly renamed long weekend is coming up this weekend, and with it, some changes to our regularly scheduled Youth and Kids programs.

With 18 young people from St John’s joining the Nillumbik United team for the State Youth Games, there’ll be no Youth Life Groups happening this Sunday afternoon. Keep the team in your prayers as they head off to Warragul over the weekend. Youth Life Groups will be back on the following week (June 18) before breaking for school holidays.

Similarly, St John’s Kids will unfortunately not be running this Sunday morning either, due to a lack of leaders to run the program. We’ll explore options for making the service accessible for all ages, and at the very least have some activity sheets ready to go.

In more positive news, you’ve hopefully heard about our new Generations Minister who’ll be coming to oversee both Kids and Youth ministries- we have an appointment and are waiting on her Child Safety clearances to come through. We’re expecting her to start on Sunday, 23 July, and would love to see you all at a Welcome Lunch that day at 12pm at St John’s.

Thanks for understanding the changes this weekend, we’ll be back on track next week!
