Launch Services
Join us this Sunday at one, or more, of our services: 8am, 9am online, 10am, 6pm as we LAUNCH into a new term and celebrate some of our ministries restarting for the new year.
St John’s Kids
In-person activities will resume during the 10am service this week!
We’ll be playing some games and reconnecting with each other after the summer holidays. Our kids’ teaching program will kick into gear the following week, when we start a new sermon series.
To ensure details are kept up to date, please complete our St John’s Kids Registration form for your child/ren.
If your child/ren attend one of our other services, please still fill out the form so that we have your details for special events that we run through the year.
Volunteer
A new year is a great time to think about how you want to contribute to the life of the church. Volunteering your time, gifts and skills is a great way to live out your faith in service to others.
Some roles involve leadership, others involve assisting others, administration, or hospitality. Be assured you won’t be thrown in the deep end.
If you’ve ever wondered what would be involved in joining our St John’s Kids, Mainly Music or Kids Hope teams, I would love to have a conversation with you. Or register your interest in another area by filling in this volunteering card and a staff member will be in touch with you.
Church Picnic
Sunday 6 February, from 11:30am onwards.
A chance for kids and adults, across all our services, to connect with each other socially. ALL WELCOME!
Anthony Beale Reserve Playground, 277 St Helena Rd.
BYO picnic (there are also BBQ facilities available).
As well as a playground and oval, there is a half basketball court and junior skate ramp, so bring bats, balls, skateboards, scooters, etc.
Family Discipleship Activity
Tailor your family prayers this week around the theme of starting/returning to school for the year:
| MON | Pray for the kids starting school for the first time, or changing schools |
| TUE | Pray for new and old friendships |
| WED | Pray for teachers, principals, and support staff |
| THU | Pray for children who are still remote learning (and their parents!) |
| FRI | Pray for the children of our link missionaries |
