St Katherine’s St Helena

St Katherine’s St Helena

St Katherine’s Anglican Church, St Helena forms part of the Parish of Diamond Creek.

While there are no longer Sunday services at St Katherine’s in St Helena, the building and grounds are available for use within the church and the wider community. You can find Sunday services each week at St John’s Diamond Creek, and online.

The church building at St Katherine’s was built in 1858, by Anthony Beale as a memorial to his late wife Katherine. The cemetery at St Katherine’s includes reserved spaces for descendants of the Beale family, and contains the remains of many notable locals, including the artist of the Heidelberg School, Walter Withers.

St John’s Diamond Creek 10am Service

The 10am service at St John’s is an intergenerational congregation, welcoming all – regardless of age. Our style is a blend of contemporary and traditional worship, with an emphasis on learning and celebration. Children in kinder and primary school start services with their families and leave for age-appropriate teaching and fun activities at St John’s Kids during the teaching time.

St John’s Diamond Creek 6pm Service

At our evening service, we have a relaxed, informal atmosphere with a special focus on connecting youth and young adults (ages 13-30) with Jesus. We hear a talk about part of the Bible (you can hear all our talks on our podcast), and we’ll pray together, talking to God. All up, the service usually goes for a bit over an hour,…

Digital Service

As we meet and gather online, we’re still all about Jesus, the hope that he brings. Even though church looks different online, our foundations remain the same. Each of our services hopes to help you experience the goodness and truth of Jesus, and will include worship through music, prayer and learning from God’s word. Our digital service is shorter than our in person ones, usually running for about 40 minutes. We get stuck straight into God’s word, before reflecting with…

St John’s Diamond Creek 8am Service

Our 8am service offers a traditional Anglican Prayer Book service, usually celebrating Holy Communion. This service brings together congregations from St Michael’s Yarrambat, St Katherine’s St Helena and St John’s Diamond Creek. We’ll sing songs to God, and about God, because he is worthy of praise. We’ll hear a talk about part of the Bible, and we’ll pray together, talking to God.
