The Tuesday afternoon Life Group are inviting all senior members of St John’s to a High Tea on Monday, November 28, between 1:30 and 3:30pm. Everything you’d expect at a High Tea will be provided, free of charge. If you would like to attend please use the sign-up sheet in the foyer. Speak with Pam Hickingbotham, or Pam and Neil Barras if you require further information.
Every Thursday at 8am a group of people from our church meet to pray for St John’s and our mission and ministry. You are welcome to come and join us as we express our church value to ‘pray expectantly’.
We’re hosting a Christmas Gingerbread Making evening this December! On Friday, December 2, we’ll share a light supper, followed by a short Christmas talk from a Guest Speaker, before you’ll be given the opportunity to create a beautiful 3D Gingerbread House – complete with an abundance of lollies, gingerbread people and snow! You’ll be able to take it home all wrapped up ready for Christmas or to gift to someone.
There are over 1,000 people living in Nillumbik with dementia. Together with Health Ability Eltham and Nillumbik Council, St John’s is hosting a community support venture called the Memory Care Café. If you’re finding the idea of celebrating Christmas particularly difficult this year, this Quiet Christmas service will offer you a place of quiet reflection, a time to remember, and the gift of hope for the future, through Christ the Light of the World.
One of the great Diamond Creek traditions! Gather together as a community and sing great carols, including traditional favourites and some new ones. School groups performing, the real story of Christmas, and a night of fun times with friends!
Our 5pm Christmas service is geared towards families and children, with an animal farm, drama performances, and accessible teaching.
Celebrate the arrival of Christmas with a candlelight Christmas service featuring Christmas Carols, an inspiring message and Holy Communion. Stay for sparkling wine and fruitcake at the end.
