Merry Christmas everyone! At the end of what has been a tumultuous year, in which we’ve all had to face many unforeseen challenges, I pray that we can still our hearts and reflect on all that God has done for us this year, always, forever.
However you celebrate this season, may God fill you with great joy and peace as you trust in him, and experience overflowing hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)

Today, Julie will be talking about creating faith-based New Year’s Resolutions.
The new year is a time that a lot of people make resolutions, particularly in regard to physical health and work/career. There’s nothing wrong with reassessing those things, but first and foremost it should be our spiritual health, our relationship with God, that we aspire to improve.
As a family, think about what you can do in the coming year to grow together in faith. Depending on your current practices, you could commit to praying and reading the bible more regularly together, keep a prayer diary so that you can look back and see how God has answered prayer, intentionally observe the Sabbath as a family, begin volunteering at church as a family, or start tithing.
Whatever you do, make God your family’s actual top priority. Pray for and rely on God’s strength to help you and don’t be discouraged with occasional failures – allow them to motivate you further.
A couple of colouring pages, if needed, to keep hands busy during Julie’s talk: 1, 2.
